Pipe Relining Branxton

Pipe relining in Branxton repairs a cracked or root-damaged sewer by curing a resin liner inside it, so no trench crosses the yard. Footage from the drain camera shows whether the pipe can take a liner, you approve a fixed price first, and one call to our plumber in Branxton team books it.

Plumber relining a drain through a bathroom floor waste

When Does Relining Beat Digging?

Relining makes sense when the pipe is worth keeping but its joints are not:

Open joints in old ceramic

The pre-1940 town core drains through clay and ceramic pipe laid generations before plastic, and the moving soil pulls the joints apart season by season.

Roots that keep returning

Jetting removes roots for now; sealing the joint takes away the gap they grow through.

Something on top worth keeping

Mature gardens, driveways and established trees sit over much of the old drainage, and a liner leaves them in place.

Where the pipe has caved in, digging is still the answer, and the footage shows which you have.

How We Reline a Sewer

  1. 01

    Ring or send the form

Call (02) 4063 3475 or use the form to explain the fault. We ask enough to bring the right equipment the first time.

  2. 02

    A fixed price first

A plumber inspects the job and names a fixed figure up front. Nothing gets started until you give the go-ahead.

  3. 03

    Clean, line, cure

The jetter strips roots and scale from the pipe, the resin liner is drawn in and pressed against the wall to set, and the camera films the finished line.

  4. 04

    Covered for a year

Every job carries our 365-day warranty on all work. If something we did isn't right, ring the same number.

What Decides the Price of a Relining Job?

The length of damaged pipe matters most. One cracked joint needs a short liner; a run of failing joints needs a long one.

Other factors:

  • Junctions and bends Each of which needs care to seal properly
  • Access As a clear inspection opening keeps everything outside while a buried one may need a small hole at one end
  • Preparation Because heavy roots or scale take extra jetting before the liner goes in

Why the Older Streets Here Suit a Liner

Soil that keeps moving

The original town grid was laid out before 1940, long before plastic drain pipe, and the reactive clay around those runs swells in wet months and shrinks in dry ones, easing the ceramic joints further apart every cycle.

Trees and gardens on top

Street trees and mature gardens send roots toward damp joints when the valley dries out. A liner closes those joints from inside, so the shade trees, the garden beds and the driveway stay as they are.

"They were very understanding of my situation, with a work around for my pipe issues, which ended up being a fraction of the cost than previous quotes from another company." Sarah

When We're Not the Right Call

Nothing left to line

A collapsed length has no sound wall for the resin to set against, so it needs excavating and replacing. The footage makes that clear before any money is discussed.

The shared main

Breaks in the main beyond your connection are Hunter Water's to repair once you report them.

More drain work is on the blocked drains hub, including CCTV drain inspection to confirm the damage, drain jetting to clear it, and tree root removal where roots are the only problem.

Relining Questions Before You Book

Is relining an option for the old clay sewers under Branxton?

Frequently, yes. Ceramic pipe that still holds its round shape but has cracked or gaping joints suits a liner well. The camera confirms the walls are sound first, and if they are, the joints are sealed from inside while the garden above stays untouched.

Can you reline a line that already has tree roots in it?

The roots come out first. The pipe is jetted clean and filmed, and only then measured for the liner. Once the resin sets across the joints the roots were using, those gaps are closed.

Does a relined pipe carry the same flow as a new one?

The liner sits inside the old pipe, so the bore is slightly smaller. Against that, it has a smooth wall with no open joints or root growth to catch waste, and the before and after footage lets you compare the two.

Do I lose water or have to leave home during the work?

No one needs to move out, and the water supply stays on. The drains cannot be used while the liner cures, so showers and the washing machine wait until the plumber gives the all-clear. The work runs from an outside opening.
