Emergency Plumber Branxton
Branxton Plumbing Co takes emergency plumbing jobs from Branxton and the valley around it at any time. Burst pipes, dead hot water, gas smells and flooded laundries all start the same way: you describe it, hear a fixed price up front, and a plumber heads out.
If the job can wait until a weekday, the rest of our work around town is on the Branxton Plumbing Co page.

What Deserves a Call Right Now?
Four things cannot wait
Everything else can be booked
Burst Pipe? First Moves While You Wait
A split flexi hose or a corroded metal pipe can put a lot of water through a house quickly. Three steps help:
- If it will not turn or you cannot find it, stay on the line and we talk you through it.
- Shut the cold supply into the hot water unit if the leak is on the hot side, so the tank stops feeding it.
- Wet power points and appliances are dangerous; leave them to an electrician.
From the First Ring to the Water Stopped
- 01
Ring or send the form
Call (02) 4063 3475 or use the form to explain the fault. We ask enough to bring the right equipment the first time.
- 02
A fixed price first
A plumber inspects the job and names a fixed figure up front. Nothing gets started until you give the go-ahead.
- 03
Stop it, fix it, turn it back on
The split hose, failed valve or burst section is replaced, the line is pressure tested, and the water is restored before the van leaves.
- 04
Covered for a year
Every job carries our 365-day warranty on all work. If something we did isn't right, ring the same number.
Frost, Flexi Hoses and the Old Town Core
Cold mornings on the valley floor
Estate homes and braided hoses
The old core and its metal pipe
Storms on old drains
How Is After-Hours Work Priced?
We provide up-front, honest quotes that will always match the final price, should you decide to go ahead.
The time you ring is the first factor: night, weekend and public holiday attendance is after-hours work.
On an urgent job, the price also depends on:
- Getting to the fault A split pipe in a period wall or under an old cottage floor takes longer than a hose under a new vanity.
- The material Cutting out rusted steel costs more than replacing a section of PVC or poly.
- The parts Valves, hoses and fittings are carried on the van; a hot water cylinder may need sourcing.
When We're Not the Right Call
If the leak is in Hunter Water's main or at their meter, their faults crew repairs it once you report it. If the trouble started with a power cut or a tripped safety switch, that needs a licensed sparky's attention first.
Not Urgent? Where the Job Sits
Some calls that feel like emergencies can wait for a weekday booking, and they get the same fixed price:
- Blocked drains and sewers The drains hub, from camera checks to jetting.
- Hot water faults and choosing a new system The hot water hub.
- Gas appliances and suspected gas leaks The gas fitting hub.
- A damp patch with no clear source Water leak detection.
- Greta Covered on the same run, see the Greta page.
Questions We Get on Urgent Calls
Do you come out to Branxton at night and on weekends?
Yes. We are Available 24/7, so a burst at two in the morning or on a Sunday gets a plumber just as a weekday job would. Those visits are after-hours work, and the full price is set out before any repair begins.
Where do the newest estate homes tend to burst?
Under the bathroom vanity or the kitchen sink, where a braided flexi hose feeds the mixer. Builder-grade hoses in volume-built houses can split without warning, and with everyone out for the day a lot of water reaches the floor. Close the meter tap first, then call.
Does an after-hours call cost anything before the work starts?
Night and weekend visits are charged at after-hours rates, unlike a weekday visit. You hear that price on the phone or at the door, before the plumber starts, and the repair itself is priced as a fixed figure ahead of the work.
What if the water is coming from the street side of my property?
Hunter Water owns the main and the pipe up to your meter, and its crews fix leaks there once reported. If what you describe sounds like their side, we give you the number to ring so you are not paying for their repair.
What Customers Say
I commend them for their very fast and efficient service when we had a burst pipe.
